Zanzibar sunsets...

are one of those events not to be missed. Fortunately a brief respite from the central highlands of Kenya (read Nairobi) allowed me the opportunity to experience tropical paradise on Spice Island (aka Zanzibar, island off the coast of Tanzania). My friend Steph provide travel companionship, as she escaped the desert heat of Darfur for a week. It wasn't exactly a week of bliss, but came very close. I crossed one those marks of age. Holiday/vacations in the past have been opportunities to go hard, see as many sites/countries, etc in a limited amount of time. But Zanzibar was different...I wanted to be pampered and do nothing but chill in a hammock and watch the waves roll in the sun set...day after day after day.
